Sunny Trinh

Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder and CEO, Sunny is responsible for building and executing DevvStream’s project pipeline through his vast network of sustainable technology and corporate relationships. He has spent over 25 years in the technology sector and directly in developing new verticals in ESG and carbon markets.

He also serves as the Chief Digital Alchemist for Devvio Inc., where he develops new business models in the ESG and carbon markets.  Prior to DevvStream, Sunny led innovation as VP of Ecosystem at Avnet Inc. (AVT: NASDAQ). He was also the COO for Jooster and VP of Sales for Arrow Electronics (ARW: NYSE) where he led the design team for a Corvette driven by a quadriplegic.

Sunny served as CEO for 9:Fish Surfboards and was an adjunct professor for Cal Lutheran University’s MBA program where he started the school’s technology tract. Sunny holds a B.S. and M.E in Engineering, an M.B.A. degree, and holds several patents on electronic accessories for cell phones.

Destenie Nock

Chief Sustainability Officer

Dr. Destenie Nock is the Chief Sustainability Officer for DevvStream and an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. In her Director role she develops algorithms for valuing sustainability and equality projects across a variety of industries. She is a leader in environmental evaluation, social justice, and equity who helps companies determine the value of sustainability investments. In her role as an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon she creates optimization and decision analysis tools which evaluate the sustainability, equity, and reliability of power systems in the US and Sub-Saharan Africa. One of her current projects includes developing a framework for understanding the sustainability and equity trade-offs for different power plant investments under national decarbonization targets. As a part of this effort she developed a method for quantifying the air pollution emissions associated with electric transmission and distribution systems.

David provides accounting, assurance, taxation and business advisory services to private and public companies, not-for-profit organizations and incorporated professionals. David has specialized knowledge of the manufacturing, mining, real estate, and technology industries. He also has a keen understanding of public company operations, restructurings, acquisitions and IPOs.

Chris is the VP and Chief Operating Officer of DevvStream. Prior to joining the team, Chris spent 24 years managing strategic customers, growing technical services verticals and held sales leadership roles at Avnet (AVT: NASDAQ) and Arrow Electronics (ARW: NYSE). He has engaged with companies at every stage, from pre-funded startups to global enterprises in markets such as IIoT, consumer, industrial and medical. Additionally, Chris spent 5 years with Sierra Pacific Industries in a general sales and operations management role. He has over 30 years of sales, operations and general management experience successfully managing diverse teams and projects.

Bryan Went

Chief Revenue Officer

As Chief Revenue Officer, Bryan is responsible for corporate partnerships and global project pipeline expansion at DevvStream.

He is a co-founder and co-CEO of Matter Labs, a corporate innovation lab that focuses on solving problems in the technology industry at a local level. He also serves on the Board of Directors at FATHOMWERX, a public-private consortium and technical innovation lab located in Ventura County. 

Bryan’s entrepreneurial journey started at the age of 16 when he founded Eccentric Motors, one of the first alternative fuel companies to generate power for automobiles from hydrogen and other natural fuels. Bryan also co-founded Higher Standard Solutions with his brother Erick, where they provided strategic and innovative technological solutions for companies such as Microsoft, FOX Studios, and Honda. 

In 2019, Bryan spearheaded the founding of FATHOMWERX, a program created by Matter Labs that is designed to exchange knowledge and opportunities between public/private sectors businesses and government entities in Ventura County.

Bryan has cultivated a career that focuses on creating and fostering programs aimed at impacting the world through innovation and technology.

David Oliver

David Oliver believes carbon markets are a fundamental tool to address Climate Change, as acknowledged by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - IPCC - during COP26 and the Paris Agreement Article 6. David is a recognized expert and pioneer in carbon markets and particularly human-based decarbonization solutions (HbS).

David Oliver is the CEO & Co-founder of Greenlines Technology and the mind behind the groundbreaking Mobility and E-commerce Carbon Engines, the first worldwide to quantify and harvest emission reductions generated from individuals when making sustainable decisions in their everyday lives, that generate financial incentives to drive demand for low-carbon products and services. David has led the development of the first modal shift optimization greenhouse gas quantification methodology currently deployed across Canada and the USA.

David is also a director of CarbonSense, an organization that aims to help reduce household emissions by developing offset-based financial incentives to electrify homes across North America. Most recently, David has authored the first report of Carbon Markets in British Columbia commissioned by the Vancouver Economic Commission, and has participated as carbon monetization expert in UBC’s 2020 Forestry Summit. David regularly provides strategic advice to public and private organizations, as well as governments, looking to further reduce their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by leveraging voluntary and compliance markets and the use of technology to quantify, aggregate and monetize carbon emissions.

Jonathan Miller

Chief Communications Officer

An accomplished communications professional with over 20 years of experience developing integrated marcom programs, Jonathan specializes in the automotive, robotics, consumer electronics, sustainability/ESG, and semiconductor domains.

With expertise in brand identity, web design, video development, copywriting, print/layout, public relations, and event management, Jonathan has held several senior positions in the Silicon Valley area, most recently with Ambarella (Nasdaq: AMBA), a leading provider of AI vision processors for edge applications. Prior to that, Jonathan was VP of Advanced Products for a consumer electronics startup whose technology patents were ultimately purchased by Facebook. He was an eighth-grade English teacher for seven years in the Oakland Unified School District and received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
